New Atlantis

New Atlantis is a game about lost and broken things, and the quests to find and fix them. It is set on and around a floating city that, having sat out the end of civilization for centuries in the middle of the ocean, has finally seen land on the horizon once again. While relatively insulated, an eon of scarcity and social degradation has left the city politically and socially fragmented, a mosaic of rival gangs, warlords, politicians, cults and corporations. The emergence of para-human mutants has shattered even the notion of a common humanity while the existence of psychics, cryptids and perhaps yet stranger things, is threatening even the consensus on what reality is.

New Atlantis is a broad game that will give players a lot of freedom in how to explore its core themes of loss, rejuvenation and identity. The game will be highly player driven, with players occupying most positions of power and with conflict coming from players attempts to create and resist change, supported by an emphasis on high cooperation with the GMs, both before and during the game, who will ensure player actions meaningfully change the world and that their impacts echo throughout other players’ games and maintain an aggressive, exciting pace.
